Fulham vs Arsenal:

We have the Play off winners up against the FA Cup champions to kick of the season, it’s a London Derby. We should see Arsenal win this one and hopefully keep a clean sheet, but the last time these two met back in season 2018/19 Arsenal won 5-1 at Craven Cottage and 4-1 at the Emirates. Expect goals tonight and let’s hope it is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (14140 DS, 18600 DK) getting his name on the scoresheet numerous times. He is in some sort of form scoring a couple of goals in a friendly, and scoring a wonderful strike past Allison In the community shield just two weeks back. Another one to consider is Nicolas Pepe (12810 DS, 13200 DK) he didn’t set the world on friends last season as it would of been a hard transition for him from Ligue 1 to Premier League but he has now has another full pre season under his belt, and is into his second season this year and hopefully we see why Arsenal spent the big bucks on him. Alexandre Lacazette (15260 DS, 14400 DK) unfortunately has been in quarantine recently due to coming back from France not too long ago and he missed the community shield but that shouldn’t bother anyone who picks him, he may of been down on his form two seasons ago last season just gone but he is a proven goal scorer and should open his tally tonight against Fulham. We don’t know who will be running down that LWB spot for Arsenal this weekend against Fulham, could it be Kieran Tierney (9400 DS, 8700 DK) or Ainsley Maitland-Niles (8430 DS, 9000 DK) whoever it will be should rack up a lot of points from crossing, intercepting passes and may even get an assist or a goal. Tierney might play left sided CB and if he does he will still make that overlapping run that Kyle Walker used to do down the right for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City three seasons ago. Ainsley had a very good game against Liverpool in the community shield and even though he has said he would prefer to play more advanced he looked very good at LWB linking up with Aubameyang. From Fulham I’d be looking at Alexander Mitrovic (12340 DS, 12900 DK) as he had a wonderful campaign in the Championship scoring 26 goals. He has already opened his 2020/21 goal campaign with a goal for his country in the Nations League. If Fulham are going to win then Tom Cairney (11780 DS, 6600 DK), Ivan Cavaleiro (8310 DS, 8100 DK) and Anthony Knockaert (11430 DS, 6300 DK) will all have to have good games and create plenty of scoring chances for Mitrovic or even get their names on the scoresheet. Another one to consider who had a very good season in the championship and played very well for Fulham in the playoffs is LB Joe Bryan (9880 DS, 10500 DK) he scored the two goals for Fulham in the play off final and does like overlapping down that left wing to put in some crosses. I do see and believe that there will be lots and lots game stacks of Arsenal and that is the way Im looking at going. Make sure you CHECK THE LINEUPS from an hour before kick off to make sure you have everyone playing and you don’t have someone sitting there not scoring you points.

Crystal Palace vs Southampton

This game could go either way, Palace finished last season poorly and Southampton only lost 1 game in the project restart. Ralph Hasenhuttl has something really nice brewing at Southampton and could push for Europe this season if they find the form they finishedthe season with. I reckon the one of the highest picked players will be Danny Ings (16900 DS, 9000 DK), he had an amazing season finishing only 1 goal behind Jamie Vardy in the Golden boot race. Another player who I’m considering is James Ward Prowse (17400 DS, 9200 DK) he will play more advanced now that there is no Hoijberg. Plus he is on all set pieces and even on penalties. He scored a couple of amazing free kicks last season. Should do very well tonight. Wilfred Zaha (10210 DS, 6700 DK) is another one that is a good play in DFS, he may not sit in many FPL teams but always finds his way into DFS teams, last season he scored only 4 goals and provided 6 assists, but the season before he put in 11 goals and provided 10 assists. He is a definite option as I do see palace getting a goal here. My brother has been hot on Jordan Ayew (12120 DS, 6800 DK) over the pre season and I do agree with him, he was very good before the stop in play for three months, he scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists. If you’re looking for a cheaper option that has potential to team up with your Liverpool stacks then this guy should be in your team,  Luka Milivojevic (7700 DS, 4500 DK), the reason behind going this guy is that he is on deadball free kicks and penalties. I will definitely be having Kyle Walker-Peters (7840 DS, 4500 DK) in my teams as he was very good for Southampton when he was there on loan last season, he loved overlapping and putting in some crosses. He will have both Danny Ings as mentioned before and also Che Adams (11500 DS, 6400 DK) to aim for, Adams had a good season even though he was second fiddle to Danny Ings scoring 4 goals and producing 4 assists. This season I do expect him to improve a fair bit and I do see him at some point being in My DFS teams, I will be playing him in 1 or 2 teams. If you’re looking for a cheap defender to combat all of those highly Liverpool players then look at Tyrick Mitchell (7000 DS, 2600 DK) he is pretty much basement in both and I do expect to see him highly owned. He will play the role of Patrick Van Aanholt who currently is injured. I do see both teams scoring in this fixture so I wouldn’t be looking at goalkeepers for this game but if you are wanting to play a keeper you do have a choice of either Alex McCarthy (9400 DS, 4900 DK) or Vincente Guaita (9000 DS, 4700). Alex McCarthy produced 79 points and 7 clean sheets last season. Guaita produced 10 clean sheets and 111 saves. If I had to pick between the two I would go McCarthy just!

Liverpool vs Leeds

This game is champions of the premier league versus the champions of the championship. I do see my boys start the campaign with a win and I will be stacking them too. It is a difficult choice of who to pick out of all the Liverpool players especially with some priced so highly and especially since you can only pick 5 maximum. To start Allison (11000 DS, 5900 DK) he was injured through the first half last season of the first game against Norwich but came back 9 games later and produced only 58 saves but Liverpool don’t give up many shots a game and was involved in 13 cleansheets. It is very hard to pick between the two Liverpool full backs in Trent Alexander Arnold (13600 DS, 8000 DK) and Andrew Robertson (13900 DS, 7100 DK), together they produced 25 assists and 4 goals, the 4 goals coming from Trent. Trent is on corners and free kicks and Robertson takes corners and some long range free kicks, it is justifiable to have both in your teams, I will somehow fit both in a couple of teams. There are two players I would consider in midfield one is Naby Keita (10180 DS, 6200 DK) and the other is Georginio Wijnaldum (7620 DS, 3700 DS). The latter is cheaper and he does produce most of his goals at Anfield and he does play box to box too. He is one to definitely consider as soon as he loses the ball he goes and tries to win it back. If he doesn’t start due to the unknown of his future at Liverpool then I will be going Naby Keita, we haven’t seen him at his best since joining from RB Leipzig but this is his third season and he could get a run in the first game just like he did last season. He is a quality player and does create big chances for our strikers. The front 3 can rotate in your teams but somehow try and put together a team with both full backs and both Mohamed Salah (18000 DS, 10300 DK) and Sadio Mane (16000 DS, 9500 DK). It will be difficult but if you can find someway then that could put you definitely up highly on the rankings. Mo Salah scored 19 goals and produced 10 assists while Sadio scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists. Both are viable options tonight and the winning team will have either if not both. Roberto Firmino (13690 DS, 7800 DK) is the only striker I know that will be in his defensive box trying to block a shot or come for a pass to open the game up, he is a box to box striker and runs all day. He scored 9 goals and produced 9 assists last season. He is definitely 3rd I’m the list for me tonight behind the other 2 of the front 3. He is an option if your trying to save some cash. If I was looking at any of the Leeds players I will only be choosing a midfielder here and there. Of those midfielders I would be looking at either Kalvin Phillips (8100 DS, 4600 DK) or Jack Harrison (7000 DS, 3200 DK) or Pablo Hernandez (10520 DS, 6100) or even at a stretch Helder Costa (7100 DS, 4000 DK). Of those 4 I would rank Pablo Hernandez as your first choice closely followed by Kalvin Phillips. If your looking at Point of Difference I would be looking at Rodrigo (9940 DS, 5700 DK), he’s come across from Valencia in the summer window. For Valencia last season he scored 4 goals and produced 9 assists. Definitely might find it difficult at the start to adapt but he has come up against English teams in the champions league. Last year I saw Leeds live against Manchester United in a pre season in Perth and I watched Kalvin Phillips and Pablo Hernandez run the show for Leeds even though united won, those two were very good at both ends of the pitch. Liverpool stack I reckon is the way to go and we will see it a lot tonight.
