Daily Fantasy Sports Tips Saturday PL 19.9.20

Well last week started off a little shaky when I totally didn’t expect Willian to be starting and providing 3 assists, if you didn’t have him along with Lacazette or Aubameyang you wouldn’t of cashed. Then didn’t expect Everton to beat Tottenham either, was sitting nicely after West Brom vs Leicester with 5 players to go and looking at the other games I thought when I woke up there would be a nice prize sitting there but nope, Everton played really well from all reports and are going to be a team lots of people will target when they come up against the weaker teams. On Tuesday morning was pretty routine with wolves winning away from home against Sheffield, that game was always going to be a good game to stack wolves defensively. Saiss provided the goods getting his name on the scoresheet taking up the Jonny role. Chelsea went about their business by beating Brighton 3-1 with lots of people possibly stacking Chelsea defensively but with the back four going to be continually unsettled due to finding the right formula I would be staying away from any Centre Backs or GK of Chelsea.

Everton vs West Bromwich Albion

I can guarantee there will be lots of stacks of Everton. I won’t be surprised if West Brom scores tonight, they played well for 25 minutes in the first half and pereira had a golden opportunity to put them ahead but ballooned it over the bar. I was very surprised with how quick Everton gelled last week and dominated Spurs. Jordan Pickford (14000 DS, 8000 DK) will likely be the highest owned keeper in this game. He scored 19.3 points on Draftstars keeping a clean sheet and providing 5 saves. He had a shaky 2019-20 season but has started this season very well. Lucas Digne (11380 DS, 10000 DK) registered one assist for the goal that beat Tottenham. He also provided 7 crosses, in which two were accurate while producing 55 accurate passes for a score of 11.75 on Draftstars. Seamus Coleman (10200 DS, 7000 DK) still is a good shout if you’re looking to save some coin in defence as he is cheaper than Lucas Digne. He scored 8.9 points on DS, only 2.8 points less than Digne. If Coleman gets an assist he scores more than Digne even with less completed passes. If you’re looking for a potential aerial threat at corners then look no further than Michael Keane (7920 DS, 3400 DK). He scored 7.8 points last weekend against Tottenham which is less than the two fullbacks but if you base it on Points per dollar then Keane is your man and you will save yourself a lot of coin choosing him with one of your fullbacks to try and balance your mid/fwds. James Rodriguez (17200 DS, 11200 DK) is the most expensive player on Draftstars and second most on Draftkings, for good reason because he was involved in everything Everton did going forward. He didn’t register a goal or an assist but he did slot in nicely and will continue to improve and become one of the leagues best. He should hit double figures tonight. On Draftkings don’t be afraid to chuck him as your “joker” where he gets you 1.5x points. He will be highly owned tonight. Abdoulaye Doucoure (8030 DS, 4400 DK) has come from Watford and slotted in nicely alongside other new recruit Allan (9560 DS, 5200 DK). These two are holding their own in the defensive midfield line. Doucoure got 5.9 points on Draftstars while Allan score 9.3 providing 3 tackles won, 3 drawn fouls and also intercepted 2 passes. Doucoure also filled his stats column with 2 intercepted passes and 2 tackles won. One or both of these players should be considered tonight. I do see one change for Everton tonight from the team that started against Tottenham and that should be reinstating Gylfi Sigurdsson (8320 DS, 9000 DK). He is super cheap on Draftstars with what could provide him a double figure game, he only played 22 minutes coming off the bench against Tottenham. In those 22 minutes he was a little busy winning a foul, intercepting a pass and producing 9 accurate passes. In that time obviously Everton didn’t see much of the ball as Tottenham was trying to find an equaliser. He is too expensive on Draftkings. If he doesn’t start then his position will be filled by Andre Gomes (7000 DS, 3600 DK) he only scored 1.4 points in 68 mins while on Draftkings he’s average only 2.9 points, steer clear even if he is bottom price on DS. Ranking the two forwards for Everton, I would be expecting Dominic Calvert-Lewin (15140 DS, 9400 DK) to be highly owned after his goal last week against Tottenham and his 2020 has been very good. He scored 14.7 points last week. His strike partner will be the one I’ll be choosing over DCL, Richarlison (13450 DS, 12000 DK) was the highest scoring outfield player for Everton against Spurs even though he didn’t contribute a goal or an assist. He scored 15.2, winning 6 fouls, producing 5 shots (1 shot on target) and intercepting 1 pass along with 3 tackles won, he filled his stat sheet nicely and would of wanted a goal to cap off his night. Will possibly be highly owned I reckon but not as highly owned as DCL or James.

Unfortunately Draftstars makes us have to pick a West a Brom player but on draftkings you can stack Everton in all positions. West Brom were decent in their first outing back in the premier league. They played well for the first 30 odd minutes, then after half time Leicester were far superior. They will get chances and hopefully someone can covert them tonight if you’re going to gamble with a balanced team. Another thing is gambling in the goalkeeping department, maybe Johnstone will produce enough points through saves to be picked over Pickford but I don't reckon so, but the gamble might be worth it when trying to fit in DCL, Richarlison and Rodriguez. So now is the hard question, who do we pick from West Brom?

Jake Livermore (8420 DS, 3600 DK): He is very cheap on Draftkings, and is mid range on  Draftstars, making him a viable option in both, he may of only gotten 2.5 points last week but he did concede 3 fouls which lost him 1.5 points, this week he can increase his intercepted passes and tackles won as I believe Everton will dominate the possession in and around Albion’s box.

Matheus Pereira (11100 DS, 10400 DK): Pereira is the most expensive player for Albion on both games, he would be chosen in my team for this game if he was possibly less 10k on DS and 9000k on DK. He does create plenty of chances and could of had a goal last week. He scored 7.3 last week being the highest scoring player for WBA. If you can fit him in then do so as he has the most attacking potential.

Matt Phillips (9180 DS, 3800 DK): If he starts then he might be highest owned WBA player. He played midweek scoring the 2nd goal in a 3-0 win against Harrogate in the Carabao Cup. I reckon Bilic will start him and when he was in the premier league last time he was one of WBA very best attacking option. Definitely consider this guy for your team as long as he starts.

Sam Johnstone (7600 DS, 4800 DK): The only reason I’m putting him here is because if WBA score then this guy is going to be the keeper in the winning team. He will give you plenty of save points. He may of only scored 3.8 points last weekend against Leicester but he conceded 3 goals which are worth 2 points each. If he didn’t concede he would of scored 9.8 points even without the extra two points for a win and 4 points for a clean sheet. He produced 4 saves. Definitely a viable option if you’re going to gamble on WBA scoring and trying to save money to play the top 3 options for Everton and Digne. The major gamble might pay off.

Here are potential teams you could play:

I do suggest trying to find the coin to go Coleman to Digne somehow.

LINEUPS ARE RELEASED 1 HOUR BEFORE KICK OFF!!

Main Slate Saturday

Leeds United vs Fulham

Ok, I’m going to be honest here, I did not expect Leeds to play the way they played against Liverpool last weekend, if they produce the same then they’ll walk all over Fulham. I don’t see many players chosen defensively from this game or even in the goalkeeping department. This game can actually go either way. Last season Leeds won at Elland Road 3-0 in June, while Fulham won at Craven Cottage 2-1 in December. Leeds haven’t won 2 league games in a row against Fulham since 2002. We should see that record broken but it will possibly be difficult for Leeds. I do expect to get a fast paced game.

Who do we pick from this game for the main slate?

Fulham:

Aleksandar Mitrovic (8790 DS, 6300 DK): another article written this week, another mention of absolute disgust at Scott Parker. Mitrovic scored more points than Kamara and Mitrovic only played 27 minutes. I do see him having an attacking return tonight, let’s hope he starts, he is the golden boot winner from the championship and has proven he’s a good striker in the premier league on numerous occasions. He is worth every dollar of 8790 on DS and 6300 on DK. I don’t see him being this cheap next weekend.

Ivan Cavaleiro (7900 DS, 5200 DK): I’m putting him in the article this week as he’s very good going forward and he did score 7.2 points at 7900 is worth it. He will produce lots of crosses and possibly get an assist in what will be a very open game. He draws fouls too. Drawing fouls are worth a point and he had 4 last week. Hopefully to see more crosses from him this weekend.

Anthony Knockaert (7650 DS, 3500 DK): Why am I putting this guy in here? I reckon if he starts he will be at the forefront of all the attacking plays for Fulham, he is a quality player and has proven himself so many times in the premier league and when he was at Brighton was on all set pieces. Consider as he’s cheap if he starts.

Leeds:

Jack Harrison (9880 DS, 6000 DK): As my brother said possibly could win the goal of the month for the opening goal of Leeds first premier league campaign in 16 years. He was very dangerous up against TAA and I reckon if he changes sides midway through the first half again like he did last week, Joe Bryan will have his work cut out. He scored 13.5 points last week and can potentially do the same tonight too.

Patrick Bamford (11800 DS, 7400 DK): Took his goal very well from a VVD mistake. Will he start up front this weekend against Fulham? Yes I think so, Rodrigo didn’t do much off the bench last week and Bamford had few chances to get a brace. This week could he be 2 goals from 2 appearances most probably.

Luke Ayling (11440 DS, 5300 DK): Took the captains arm band last weekend and he definitely led from the front, he had a good battle with Sadio Mane, was very strong defensively. Only a couple of times was he dribbled passed. He scored 6.5 points with 4 tackles won. Definitely consider him again tonight. But I feel like he’s a little too much on DS.

Kalvin Phillips (8380 DS, 6400 DK): Phillips is a ball winning playmaker. Last week he was one of Leeds best players. He scored 11.1 points and at 8380 he’s a little cheap if he can send diagonal balls to his wingers or even to his striker. The ball for Leeds first goal was delightful to watch. He intercepted 3 passes, had 1 accurate cross and won a tackle. Definitely consider playing this guy over McTominay.

Pablo Hernandez (10900 DS, 7600 DK): If I’m being honest I expected a little more from Hernandez in Leeds first game, but nevertheless he has his chance tonight to win me over. He might be a little too expensive this week as there are better midfielders for cheaper than Pablo. He scored 4.1 points which is a lot less than expected but he did come up against Liverpool. He could push double digit return tonight. Too expensive on Draftkings. Maybe if he was 8500 it would be worth considering but maybe not tonight. Now I’ve said that he will be involved in everything.

Rodrigo Moreno (11400 DS, 6700 DK): needs to get a premier league goal I reckon for his confidence. He finished on -1.4 as he was the one who took out Fabinho to give Liverpool their second penalty of the game. He played all 90 minutes in the carabao cup during the week, so hopefully that helps him with getting more involved in the game. Will he start? Maybe not but if he does, does he make your team? Not mine unfortunately. Needs to be watched for a few more games.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Well I was shocked at the way Palace played last weekend against Southampton. They came up against a team who had only lost once since project restart while palace on the other hand only scored more points in project restart than relegated Norwich. United played a friendly in which they lost to Aston Villa last weekend, but they played mainly a B Team in the friendly, United should get three points here. Okay, So, I know that the main goalkeeper choice will be between this game and the Arsenal and west Ham game. It is difficult to see who United choose, do they go David De Gea (14000 DS, 5900 DK) or Dean Henderson (7000 DS, 5800 DK) in goal. Henderson had an amazing season last term, but De Gea still is a quality keeper. If I had to pick a GK for tonight it will not come from this game as it’s too hard to pick who to choose with so much uncertainty. Aaron Wan Bissaka (12990 DS, 5900 DK) will definitely be chosen in one of my teams tonight. He is very good going forward and is good defensively too, he wins plenty of tackles and puts in lots of crosses through overlapping down the right. He is the only defender to really consider from United for this slate. You could gamble with Luke Shaw (9790 DS, 4500 DK) as he can produce the same amount of points as AWB, but Ole has taken a liking to Brandon Williams too. So I wouldn’t be going anyone apart from AWB. In midfield will we see the first start for Donny Van De Beek (9810 DS, 5600 DK) or will he come off the bench, my belief will be he comes off the bench tonight but if he does start then he is a good ball winning playmaker. He scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in the Eredivisie last season. The highest owned player on this slate will be Bruno Fernandes (14640 DS, 11000 DK). He performed very well last season when he came in during the January transfer window. He scored 8 goals and produced 8 assists. He is the penalty taker for United but he still will be one of the main attacking providers tonight. Expect double digit points from him and he has potential to give you a 20 point return. He ended the season creating a good midfield relationship with Paul Pogba (10270 DS, 6600). He is listed as  questionable tonight but he should play, he is a very good midfielder going forward and hopefully isn’t lazy in helping out the defence and Palace will get chances. I don’t expect to see Mason Greenwood (15620 DS, 7900 DK) in the starting lineup, but if he is I will be steering clear of him anyways, he was good at the back end of the season but I reckon there are players ahead of him now and we could see Ole go with two up front with Marcus Rashford (15820 DS, 9300 DK) and Anthony Martial (16040 DS, 9600 DK). If you can combine those two in a team along with an Arsenal forward then that might be the winning formula tonight. Rashford and Martial combined for 30+ goals last season. Scott McTominay (11550 DS, 5100 DK) I believe is too expensive on DS but he will be everywhere in the midfield trying to win the ball back, intercepting passes, producing tackles. He is prone to a yellow card though, just keep that in mind.

Just a few players you could look at from Palace:

Wilfred Zaha (10280 DS, 6800 DK): He scored one last weekend to win the game for Palace, this weekend he might only get one or two chances and he will have got tske them if Palace think they’ll get anything from this game. He scored 11.9 points.

Michu Batshuayi (11450 DS, 5300 DK): Fresh from his transfer to Palace he might get a start but could find it difficult against United, needs to take his chances as he is competing against Ayew for a starting spot. Not worth it as he’s the most expensive Palace player.

Vincente Guaita (8900 DS, 3900 DK): As I mentioned in the Everton vs West Brom preview in regards to Sam Johnstone, if Palace score then this guy could be a good steal at 8900. He will produce plenty of saves and I don’t see him conceding more than 3 goals. He scored 19.3 points. Consider!

Eberechi Eze (10810 DS, 5700 DK): I reckon Hodgson might hand him his first start tonight after coming off the bench for a 9 minute cameo. He scored 1.3 points in those 9 minutes. He will be a good player for palace, he produced 2 accurate crosses in those 9 minutes. If he starts I would consider him but I would of liked him to be around the 9000 mark, if you don’t pick him this week, pick him next week.

Tyrick Mitchell (7000 DS, 4000 DK): I have him in my FPL team and he’s bottom price in DS too. He produced a 9.7 point return. 3 of those points came from cleansheet as a defender. But definitely consider putting him in as you can afford to lose those 3 points for a clean sheet to try and put in the top players who will likely score you double digit returns.

Arsenal vs West Ham United

Arsenal went about their business with a routine win over Fulham, lots of DFS players and FPL players would of been disappointed with the return of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang (15280 DS, 10200 DK) he got his goal but that was about it, I expected him to get a brace at least, maybe he will repay my faith tonight. He will along with Bruno Fernandes be highly owned. Try and slot him in with everyone else is going to be difficult. Alexandre Lacazette (11720 DS, 8500 DK) scored the first goal of the season with a tap in from the 6 yard box. He is cheap this week and I reckon he will double his tally. He scored 15.2 points. This week I will mention both of these guys as I forgot one last week. Nicolas Pepe (14820 DS, 8300 DK) and Willian (14520 DS, 10500 DK), one of these two will start this week and after last weeks performance Pepe will have to start getting used to sitting on the bench. Willian was everywhere providing 3 assists (2 assists on DS), 1 accurate cross and drew 2 fouls. Pepe came on for Willian and scored 0.9 having 1 accurate cross and 8 accurate passes. Pepe is too expensive to choose as he has the late game and you’ll be waiting to hope you made the right call. I expect the following two to be highly owned, Bernd Leno (13620 DS, 5700 DK) and Gabriel Magalhaes (7000 DS, 3400 DK), I reckon my keeper for tonight will be Leno if I can fit him in with the attacking players I will be choosing. I do see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet tonight, but unfortunately Arsenal are sometimes very inconsistent and lose to teams that they should beat. Gabriel scored 19.9 points thanks to a goal and a clean sheet. Don’t expect him to produce the same every week. Will be highly owned as he is bottom dollar or Draftstars. Kieran Tierney (10320 DS, 3900 DK) did play the role I expected him to play, the overlapping third centre back role, Kyle Walker did back when Pep played three at the back. Tierney scored 10.9 points last weekend and could possibly produce the same this week. Lastly, I will mention Ainsley Maitland-Niles (8090 DS, 4000 DK) he scored 3.4 points and didn’t get involved like he did against Liverpool. He is listed as a defender in DK and should be considered, he is listed still as a mid/fwd on DS and still can be considered but I reckon there are better players who will produce more points for you.

Who to consider from West Ham? There won’t be many who take anyone from West Ham but if you do these are ones to consider:

Michail Antonio (12550 DS, 7200 DK): He wasn’t able to get on the scoresheet last week and might find it difficult again this week. Too expensive to pick I reckon.

Declan Rice (7590 DS, 3900 DK): He scored 3.9 points last week with only intercepting 1 pass. He is very likely to score more this week as Arsenal will be trying to create as many chances as possible and playing as CDM he will be trying to cut out as many through balls as possible.

Possible Lineups for tonight’s main slate: (will possibly change them to what I like)
