Gameweek 9

Two weeks without anything from me and my rank has dropped 800,000 spots, don’t even ask why and what’s happened, I really don’t know. It’s been a difficult season so far for everyone. Liverpool sitting pretty at the moment and possibly are on track to win the league but Tottenham and Leicester are on track too. In my opinion INTERNATIONAL BREAK should never of happened. Too many players now have coronavirus, getting injured and are playing too many games. FIFA need to think of player welfare before trying to make some money. Fans will always have football. FIFA just needed to take into account that players never really had an off-season, players from big clubs are playing nearly every 3-4 days. Jurgen Klopp made a valid point after the draw with Man City, clubs are getting too many injuries and not enough turnaround time between games due to all these condensed games. With the champions league on at the moment, Liverpool are playing 3 games a week, but so are 6 other teams in the prem

Gameweek 6 Review

The less said and mentioned about Gameweek 6 the better. My team was exactly like Aston Villa on the weekend, thought we were cruising nicely and continually improving, but nope, came crashing back down to earth. Aston Villa came up against a Leeds team who no one really gave a chance for Leeds to beat them especially after Villa put 7 past Liverpool and scored very late on to beat Leicester, but Patrick Bamford had a day out, literally everything he touched turned to goals. He got a Hat Trick, scoring his owners 17 points. He has scored 6 goals in 6 games for Leeds albeit equalling a goal a game due to his output versus Aston Villa. Two of his goals he scored were very good, one from outside the box into the roof of the net, while the other was a nice open up the body on the left, curl it into the top left corner, while his other goal was a measly tap in.   West Ham hadn’t grabbed a point of Manchester City for quite a while, actually in City’s last 5 visits to the London Stadium be

Gameweek 5 review

If I was David Coote I wouldn’t be wanting to step foot on the red side of Merseyside for a long time. Seriously how can a referee forget the rules!!! The Merseyside derby had everything 4 goals, a red card, VAR drama and we still couldn’t get a winner, but honestly what was going on in the VAR room? Pickford that honestly was the most disgraceful tackle I’ve ever seen. I honestly believe Liverpool were robbed of winning that derby, at least Everton still can’t beat us, it’s been a long time for them. Aston Villa have been the surprise packet this season, they honestly should of Been playing championship football this season but they aren’t and are sitting nicely second at the moment with a game in hand over Everton. It was good to see Lampard watched Germany play during the international break and saw that Werner is better at being a striker, the ones who stuck by him were finally rewarded for sticking by their striker, it was very unfortunate for non-owners like myself hoping he woul

Game Week 4 Preview FPL

Another high scoring weekend in the premier league for goals in Gameweek 3, I feel like that will be the norm before the FA and government allows fans back in, whenever that may be. I am going to keep this rant short I hope, but I am seriously very disappointed in the way the game is progressing. The inclusion of VAR was to help the referee turn an incorrect decision to the right one, but also this season the handball law was re-written and there have been about 20 penalties from only 28 games. That’s nearly a penalty a game, about 8 have been given as handball. This handball law is beyond ridiculous, im sorry but those pundits who rallied for this has ruined the way football is being played. Players soon will be instructed to just kick or head the ball into a trailing hand, of those 8 penalties given as handball, probably 60% of them have been the incorrect call, Matt Doherty vs Southampton, one of the worse decisions I’ve seen since the start of the season, Lucas Digne heading the ba

My Team Reveal

I wouldn’t call myself an expert or anything but I will say that I believe I give good advice and maybe I should take on some of that advice I give others for myself and if that was the case maybe I’d have good seasons. Well this season was a shorter preseason for myself and I only changed my team a couple of times. I did have a larger player pool though to choose players from.  When picking my team I look at the opening 5 fixtures for each team and base my team off that, plus I base getting 65+ as a par score. Who did I choose for my first Gameweek?: GK: Lloris (Tottenham) - I chose him due to Tottenham’s start to the season, I feel like I can have him as my keeper for the first 8 games and then can change it. I would hope he will keep at least 3 clean sheets in those first 8 games. After that it will be a change to someone else.  B/UP GK: Nyland (Villa) - if Villa didn’t go for Martinez and sign him then Nyland would of possibly been the number one keeper.  DEF: Alexander-A

Well last week started off a little shaky when I totally didn’t expect Willian to be starting and providing 3 assists, if you didn’t have him along with Lacazette or Aubameyang you wouldn’t of cashed. Then didn’t expect Everton to beat Tottenham either, was sitting nicely after West Brom vs Leicester with 5 players to go and looking at the other games I thought when I woke up there would be a nice prize sitting there but nope, Everton played really well from all reports and are going to be a team lots of people will target when they come up against the weaker teams. On Tuesday morning was pretty routine with wolves winning away from home against Sheffield, that game was always going to be a good game to stack wolves defensively. Saiss provided the goods getting his name on the scoresheet taking up the Jonny role. Chelsea went about their business by beating Brighton 3-1 with lots of people possibly stacking Chelsea defensively but with the back four going to be continually unsettled du

Fantasy Premier League GW2 Preview

The second game week can’t come quick enough for many coaches. I have seen a lot of people already use their first wildcard. For the first time this season I will not be transferring anyone in and saving my free transfer for Gameweek 3 when I’ll swap Aubameyang for Bruno Fernandes or KDB. We finally have both Manchester clubs starting their season along with Aston Villa and Burnley.  Here are the fixtures for the next game week:  Saturday Everton vs West Brom @ Goodison Park Leeds vs Fulham @ Elland Road Manchester United vs Crystal Palace @ Old Trafford Arsenal vs West Ham @ Emirates Stadium Sunday   Southampton vs Spurs @ St. Mary’s Newcastle vs Brighton @ St. James Park Chelsea vs Liverpool @ Stamford Bridge Leicester vs Burnley @ King Power Stadium Monday   Aston Villa vs Sheffield @ Villa Park Wolves vs Manchester City @ Molineux Stadium   Hold: There are a number of players that I reckon you should hold and will bounce back this week: Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.5): You picked this
